On July 26th, 2019 an improved version of the Arachis hypogaea cv Tifrunner genome was released. The improvements were made on the basis of HiC assessments, contributed by the Aiden lab at Baylor College of Medicine. IThe v2 assembly for Arachis hypogaea var. Tifrunner has not been submitted to GenBank. Unless the v2 assembly becomes the accepted representative genome for Arachis hypogaea in GenBank - a decision to be made by the peanut community - PeanutBase will continue to host v1 as the official Arachis hypogaea var. Tifrunner assembly. However, we do want researchers to be able to work with the improved version as soon as possible.
