Overview
Plants were grown in long trays that were wide enough for lateral branches to trail and geocarps to develop in the soil. Traits were measured for a population of recombinant inbred lines (RILs) and their wild A-genome parents (Arachis duranensis K7988, Arachis stenosperma V10309). The plants were phenotyped for agronomic and domestication traits (Pod constriction, Peg length, Main stem height, Lateral branch length, Number of lateral branches, Aerial dry weight, Root dry weight, Weight ratio of roots to aerial parts, Total biomass, Pollen viability).
