Description | Plants erect with yellow flowers. Fruits 3-4.5 cm long, 1.25-1.50 cm diam., straight, with humps and small beak, little or no constriction, reticulation evident but not sharp, containing 3-4 dull red seeds. Fruits said to be ready for harvest 2 1/2 months after planting. These were planted in May, harvested in August. Associated with Phaseolus, Vigna, Pachyrhizus, Cucumis, Citrullus, and Manihot. Field where harvested in August was now dotted with seedlings originating from peanuts left in ground at harvest. |
